Context : Keaton Henson

Keaton Henson Is an Artist,
Illustrator and Musician from London. He is a master in many different creative areas from video to sculpture.

I’ve always been a fan of Keaton Henson because of his dark subject matter and gloomy imagery. His illustrations can sometimes be vulgar and grotesque, but these are the aspects I love.

Context : Emily Forgot

Emily Forgot is the appropriately curious moniker of London based Graphic Artist Emily Alston. Having been working in the creative industry since graduating from Liverpool school of Art & Design in 2004 she has amassed a diverse range of international clients, from cultural institutions, advertising, retail, publishing & editorial.

Along side commercial endeavors Emily produces personal work in the form of limited edition prints and ceramics. Her work has been exhibited both in London and abroad most notably in 2007 at the “Fragiles” show as part of the prestigious Miami Art Basel.

Emilyforgot’s work inspires me because of her mix between hand rendered and digital design, she’s an image maker who inspires me because of her attention to layout, she uses subtle suggestion to postion type and image.

Context : Cut Laser Cut

CutLaserCut is an award winning laser cutting & engraving service in London and the UK specifically for the needs of creative
industries. Cut Laser Cut are not your average manufacturer, but were founded by a team of talented designers.
This lovely decorative alphabet based on a downloaded Bodoni Poster font was produced by Nigel Bents, Paul Oakley and Jonny Holmes from Chelsea College of Art & Design.

Each letter was laser cut from a 3mm birch plywood and mounted on type-high block back in the college workshop by Stef Willis.
The blocks were then printed at Graham Bignell’s New North Press in Hoxton.

After emailing CutLaser cut and sending them a mailout throughout the PPD module I have been offered a full time Job working for them. They are my ideal company to work with because Laser cutting truly excites me. They produce innovative work experimenting with the cutting of unusual materials.
